Privacy Policy
Effective July 9, 2026. Applies to basalio.com and the Basalio plugin dashboard.
Scope
This covers data we collect about you: beta testers, license holders, site visitors. It doesn't cover data your own portfolio visitors generate, Basalio's blocks don't track them, and we never see your site's content.

Information we collect
Directly from you:
- Email address, when you join the beta waitlist or the newsletter
- Name and payment details, handled entirely by our checkout provider, when you buy a license
- Anything you send us directly, support emails, block suggestions, bug reports
Automatically, from the plugin itself:
- Your license key and the site URL it's activated on, so updates and support work
- Basalio version and WordPress version, sent only when checking for updates, standard for any WordPress plugin

How we use it
- Updates and support: We use your license key and site URL to deliver plugin updates and to respond to support requests
- Communication: We send newsletters about new blocks, features, and bug fixes only to those who asked for them
- Security and abuse prevention: We monitor for patterns of misuse or fraud
- Analytics (aggregated only): We count how many sites use each block, how often, to guide our development priorities

What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. Not to marketers, not to analytics firms, not to anyone
- We don't track you across the web. Basalio doesn't use pixels, tags, or cookies to follow you on other sites
- We don't use third-party trackers. Your data doesn't go to Google Analytics, Segment, or similar
- We don't profile or build behavioral dossiers. We care about what you build, not your browsing habits

Third parties we work with
- Stripe: Handles all payment processing. We never touch your card data. Stripe privacy policy
- Netlify: Hosts this site. Netlify privacy policy
- GitHub: Stores our code. GitHub privacy policy

Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Get a copy of the data we have about you
- Correct: Fix inaccuracies
- Delete: Request we erase your data (we will, within legal obligations)
- Restrict: Ask us not to process your data for certain purposes
- Port: Get your data in a portable format
