Information we collect
Directly from you:
- Email address, when you join the beta waitlist or the newsletter
- Name and payment details, handled entirely by our checkout provider, when you buy a license
- Anything you send us directly, support emails, module suggestions, bug reports
Automatically, from the plugin itself:
- Your license key and the site URL it's activated on, so updates and support work
- Basalio version and WordPress version, sent only when checking for updates, standard for any WordPress plugin

How we use it
- To send beta invites, product updates, and, if you opt in, the newsletter
- To validate your license and deliver updates to the right site
- To answer support requests and fix the bugs you report
- To understand which modules get requested most, from direct feedback, not from tracking your site's visitors

What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone
- We don't run ads or ad-tracking pixels on basalio.so
- Basalio's modules don't add any analytics or tracking to the portfolio sites they run on
- We never see the content, images, or visitor data of the sites you build

Third-party services
A short list, because that's all there is:
- A checkout and licensing provider (Freemius or EDD Software Licensing) to process payments and issue license keys
- A transactional email provider to send beta invites and receipts
- Standard web hosting and CDN infrastructure to serve basalio.so

Data retention
We keep your data for as long as you have an active beta seat or license, plus the time needed to meet tax and accounting requirements after a purchase. Ask us to delete your data sooner and we will, except where we're required to keep purchase records.

Your rights
Wherever you're located, you can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your data entirely
- Unsubscribe from any email, there's a link in every one we send

basalio.so uses only functional cookies, the kind that remember your waitlist form state or a dismissed banner. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

If this changes, we'll update the effective date above and, for anything material, email active license holders directly.
